Brief Biographical Note of Justice Janet Simmons

Janet Simmons is a judge of the Court of Appeal for Ontario. She is a graduate of the University of Toronto (1974) and of the Faculty of Law, University of Western Ontario (1977). She was called to the Bar in Ontario in 1979. Justice Simmons was appointed to the Ontario Court (Provincial Division) in December 1990, to the Ontario Court (General Division) in September 1991, and to the Court of Appeal for Ontario in August 2000.
